Shark

The Challenge
When SharkNinja set out to expand its personal care portfolio, their team sought additional design and engineering expertise to support the development of a next-generation hair styling product.
Dot ID partnered closely with Shark’s personal care division, providing critical analysis, feedback and technical guidance at key stages of the development process that Shark would go on to implement. From early proof-of-concept CAD and prototyping through to thermal and aerodynamic optimisation and into pre-production engineering builds, we delivered hands-on support where it mattered most.
Acting as an extension of their team, we evaluated designs, solved complex technical challenges and identified opportunities to enhance product performance, usability, material selection and engineering robustness. Our work combined user-centred ergonomic insight with detailed mechanical engineering reviews and practical problem-solving approaches.

The Impact
“Dot ID have been a strategic design partner for Shark since the inception of the Shark Beauty portfolio. Their deep industry knowledge allowed them to partner with Shark design and engineering teams to provide valuable insights into design, materials, system configuration and consumer interactions. I look forward to continued work with Steve, James and the team as the Shark Beauty range grows.”
